There's always time to read. Just put your phone down and open the book.
What are you reading? Do you enjoy books that speak to your spirituality; to what you are going through and who you are at the present moment? Do you look for new experiences when you read? Or is it the comfort of a favorite novel from high school days and a warm blanket you seek? Here's where I share my reading with you, and I'd love it if you'd share your reading with me by getting in touch with me here.
I'm Doing The Work
It's pretty intense and addictive (in a good way if you like feeling more joy).
“When you wake up in the morning and out of nowhere comes the heartache and loneliness, could you use that as a golden opportunity? Rather than persecuting yourself or feeling that something terribly wrong is happening, right there in the moment of sadness and longing, could you relax and touch the limitless space of the human heart?”
"If the positive seeds in us grow stronger day and night, we will be happy and we will make the people we love happy. Recognize the positive seeds in the person you love, water those seeds and he/she will become much happier."
Thich Nhat Hahn
"Childishness is when we're so pre-occupied with things that ultimately don't matter, that we lose our essential connection with things that do."
Marianne Williamson Return to Love
The Book of Joy: Lasting Happiness in a Changing World by His Holiness Dalai Lama, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and Douglas Abrams.
Warning: this book will change your life for the better and open your heart to connecting with ALL humans. It will cultivate compassion. Give you pause to think of others. Open lines of communication. Develop and strengthen your capacity to feel, experience and put into play compassion. Once you begin this book you will move through your day differently, more mindfully, and with a loving heart. Don't believe me? Read the book and we'll talk.
Hidden Treasure No More
Living With Joy: Keys to Personal Power & Transformation by Sanaya Roman
A classic soul dive that predates all the other goodies circulating around right now. Basically, this hidden gem is about building your joy, your openness to receive, your true inner power and wisdom, and your authentic spiritual self so that you may experience growth. This book was essential (positively so!) to my big shift and if you open your heart and mind it can help you, too. Thanks,
Insightful and Perfect for All
anger by Thich Nhat Hahn
Ever get angry? Then this book will serve you well and make you take a look at anger differently for life. Rather than fanning the flames, this book encourages cooling the flames, taking care of your flames, and even loving the flames. I don't know how I made it this far in life without Thich Nhat Hahn's wisdom, but I am glad and grateful to receive it now and forever.
Conscious Uncoupling by Katherine Woodward Thomas
This book is wonderful and wise and makes so much sense. I found it just when I needed it at Kepler's Books in Menlo Park. Thanks, Universe!
